I was a customer for 30 plus years of their long distance service. They changed billing to direct billing instead of as a part of my normal telephone bill.

Tried to set up an automatic billing from checking account via computer. Called and finally reached a live person that I needed to set up via computer and they could not do this. I was told I needed a pin number to do this and it would come in about 2 weeks by snail mail then I could setup auto pay. I told him that this was not satisfactory and cancel the service.

I also told then to send a final bill with the total owed. Since then I have been receiving robocalls from "unknown" leaving messages to call back to a robo system. Friday I received via U.S. Mail a final bill and a separate threat that my bill is to be turned over to collection services.

I tried to call Friday night but robo told me the office was not open call back during M-F office hours. Called about 20 minutes ago finally got a real person told him I wanted to inform them I was calling to inform that payment had been made and to complain about robo calls and collection threat.

They hung up! ***
